SECOND DAY AT BASSISSCHOOL IN WINSSEN
Today we have been with groups 2 and 3 (5 and 6 years old). In the classroom there are 24 students and their teacher is called Ilona.
The class is divided in two different levels, so, while Ilona is teaching students from group 2, group 3 are working on their own (reading, writing, maths..). It's called Weektaak.
When Week Taak is finished, group 3 has read in big group and after that they have done reading comprehension activities.
After that, they have had a snack and we have gone to the gym for their PE lesson. We have had a great time playing with the kids. Before the classroom was finished we have taught them how to play "Araña Peluda". They have enjoyed a lot. Their teacher has said she will play with them from now onwards.
After having lunch, we have shown them the book that you have done. They liked it a lot. And they have shown us the dance they will perform to celebrate King's Day in April.
Group 3 kids have studied Social Science and group 2 have been working in corners. While they were working, they have taught us some words in Dutch (numbers, colours and animals). We have had little great teachers.
After school we have visited a beautiful town called Nijmegen where there are plenty of historical buildings from the 16th century.
